Public Discussion: The role of volunteers and self-organised groups during the pandemic
The Civil Society Initiative of the University of Central Asia is arranging online discussions in the Live format through Facebook Live.

The discussions are organised as part of the project: “Increasing access to comprehensive and reliable information on Coronavirus for journalists in Kyrgyzstan”, implemented by the Civil Society Initiative and supported by the British Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic. The online event will bring together representatives of different parties to share information about how the pandemic has affected the lives of people in Kyrgyzstan.

UCA's Cultural Heritage and Humanities Unit is holding a Public Research Talk on February 12th 2021, 5:00 pm (Bishkek time, GMT+6) on "Beyond the Art Museum: Towards a Theory and Practice of 'Everyday Aesthetics'.", It will be delivered by Dr Soheil Ashrafi, Altyn Kapalova and Dr Michael Garbutt. The event will be in English streamed via Zoom and Youtube.

The School of Professional and Continuing Education is one of the three schools at the University of Central Asia that fosters community engagement by offering a wide range of non-degree courses and programs to a broad spectrum of students. SPCE programmes meet the immediate and emerging needs of communities for skills and qualification for employment and occupational and education mobility. It has played an important role in improving the livelihoods and living conditions of people of the region.

The Playful Eye: Central Asia Pioneers Online Art Experience
University of Central Asia researchers Dr Soheil Ashrafi (Communications and Media Department) and Altyn Kapalova (Cultural Heritage and Humanities Unit) have collaborated with arts facilitators in Australia and Germany to produce an innovative online experience of Kyrgyz art for audiences around the world.

The World Bank (WB), with dedicated support from Korea Internet Security Agency (KISA), and Korea World Bank Partnership Facility (KWPF) will host an online workshop “Virtual Study Visit to Korea Internet Security Agency: Learning from Korean Cyber Experience”, in collaboration with the University of Central Asia (UCA) on November 16th  at 09:00 am (Bishkek time, GMT+6).
