Khorog Plans to Transform into a Safe and Sustainable City
The University of Central Asia (UCA) and the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) in Tajikistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 27th 2020 to develop Khorog into a safe and resilient city.

24.KG: UCA Tops List of Preferred Universities in Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyz school-leavers are facing a serious challenge – they have to choose a university. The editors of 24.kg have analyzed the results of the National University Entry Test (ORT) that was organized in 2019. The results of the test determine, what university the school-leavers will be able to enter. UCA topped the list of preferred universities in Kyrgyzstan.

Nelson Star: Nelson counsellor works online with university students in Central Asia during pandemic
In March, Robin Higgins of Nelson was in her fourth year of work as a counsellor at the University of Central Asia in Khorog, Tajikistan, when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told Canadians abroad to catch the next plane home. At the same time, the university closed because of the pandemic. Now she’s teaching and counselling her students in their homes, online from Nelson.

NTS TV: UCA's School of Professional and Continuing Education
The University of Central Asia’s School of Professional and Continuing Education offers programmes to students from 6 to 60 years of age. Qualified instructors teach English, Chinese, Turkish, German, Russian and Kyrgyz languages, as well as Accounting, Information Technologies, and Computer Literacy. The School also offers entrepreneurship programmes, which has trained entrepreneurs on how to open and expand their businesses. Talant Niyazbekov, SPCE alumni, is selling eco-friendly products for tourists, produced by local craftsmen.
