Kaktus Media: What universities are chosen by students with highest ORT scores?
The Center for Assessment in Education and Teaching Methods has analyzed the results of the Nationwide University Entrance Exam (known as ORT) for 2019 to determine the list of universities that are chosen by the most successful students. The highest in the rank is Naryn Campus (Kyrgyzstan) of the University of Central Asia (UCA). Its second campus is located in the city of Khorog (Tajikistan), and the third campus in Tekeli (Kazakhstan) is expected to become operational by 2022. UCA focuses on developing rural mountain communities through supporting socio-economic development.

“Yntymak” TV: Kalicha Ashyrbek kyzy Opens Sewing Business in Jalal-Abad
Kalicha Ashyrbek kyzy from Karacha village in the Bazar-Korgon district of Jalal-Abad, won a grant in March to expand her sewing workshop at home. Kalicha defended her business plan after completing an entrepreneurship programme implemented by UCA’s School of Professional and Continuing Education, and was selected to receive a grant as part of the “Demilgeluu Jashtar” project, funded by USAID Kyrgyzstan.
