University of Central Asia employees were profoundly saddened by the killings and wanton destruction that occurred in the south of Kyrgyzstan. In solidarity with communities that suffered, employees made contributions from their salaries to purchase and ship 2.5 tonnes of medical supplies and food that was distributed to Uzbek and Kyrgyz families, with additional provisions for orphaned children. The aid was organized in one day.

UCA will continue to contribute in a meaningful manner to Kyrgyzstan’s human development, and promote the understanding and appreciation of the diverse rich cultures of its people.
