Abstract
In this lecture, Dr. Tasnim Atatrah will cover how the pandemic can affect mental health, tips on what to do if you have any symptoms, and how to protect yourself and manage your household when someone gets sick. She will also provide an overview of the current situation of Covid-19 in Central Asia.

Biography
Dr. Tasnim Atatrah has worked for the World Health Organization since 2010, and is currently leading emergency preparedness and the implementation of International Health Regulations in Central Asia. She has over 17 years' work experience, and has led the emergency response operation and public health humanitarian response for Gaza, Syria, and Libya. Dr. Atatrah has also mobilized resources and led interventions to promote health well-being in refugee camps in Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon. She has been awarded Doctor in Medicine degree, Master of Public Health and Epidemiology, diploma in Management, and High diploma in Management of Humanitarian Health and Nutrition Programs.

Prior joining WHO, she worked with USAID supporting Health Sector Reform and Development, UNICEF as Communication Specialist, as well as Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor for an NGO funded by the World Bank, and as Senior Health Specialist for a USAID funded project focusing on improving Mothers and Children access to quality services. Dr. Atatrah has also worked for local NGOs as a Capacity Building Advisor and Rehabilitation & Development Specialist, as well as a medical clinician at primary health and emergency clinics in remote areas.
