6th International Conference on Debris Flows: Disasters, Risks, Forecast, Protection

The Debris Flow Association, the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, and the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat jointly with the University of Central Asia will organise the 6th International Conference on Debris Flows: Disasters, Risks, Forecast, Protection to be held September 20-26, 2021 in Dushanbe and Khorog, Tajikistan.
Debris flows in mountain regions cause significant damage to the economy and often lead to victims among local people. To solve debris flow problems, experts from different countries need to work together. The conferences on Debris Flows: Disasters, Risks, Forecast, Protection are among the forms of international cooperation. This is the 6th conference in Tajikistan, and is part of a series of conferences held in Pyatigorsk (2008), Moscow (2012), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (2014), Irkutsk and Arshan (2016), Tbilisi (2018). Government ministries of Tajikistan, international organisations, universities and institutes are expected to participate in this conference.
