UCA Gift Opportunities
The University of Central Asia (UCA) offers a wide range of gift opportunities which can be tailored to the specific interests, desires, and aspirations of donors. As is the case with most universities, UCA's programmes are heavily subsidised to make quality education accessible and affordable. The generosity of donors and alumni play a vitally important role in securing UCA's long-term sustainability, and ability to respond to the needs and challenges of Central Asian countries – particularly its mountain communities.
Philanthropic support is gratefully acknowledged and recognized by UCA, and with the donor's permission given appropriate publicity.

"Pursuing a major at UCA is unforgettable. I had a remarkable opportunity to study on both campuses and learnt about the diverse cultures of Kyrgyzstan and Badakhshan. Over the summer I had a wonderful internship working at USAID in Monitoring and Evaluation. I was exposed to the real world and learnt a lot about business ethics data science and data collection."

"UCA has a very good approach to building the capacity of teachers in a sustainable way. We are very thankful that several of our teachers were engaged in EIP's professional development programmes conducted in Kyrgyzstan. Now they are becoming teacher educators, and are training other teachers from different areas of Tajikistan."

Alishba Irshad Kassim Scholarships at UCA
Although Alishba (1986-2019) left this world in the prime of her life, she profoundly touched the lives of family, friends, and acquaintances. She is lovingly remembered for her generosity, compassion, courage, and as an attorney—her passion for defending and championing human rights.
To memorialize Alishba’s legacy, her family and friends have established a Scholarship Endowment at the University of Central Asia’s School of Arts and Sciences. It offers merit-based assistance, and rewards students who are ambitious and goal-oriented, with a background of consistent civic involvement and community service. The Alishba Irshad Kassim Scholarships will be available to entry level students from the academic year starting in 2021, and funds the annual tuition fees. Students need to maintain a GPA of 3+ to continue receiving scholarships during their course of study at UCA. More details and application forms will be posted on this website in January 2021.
Meanwhile, to expand the benefits and scholarships from this endowment, friends and family are continuing to donate. Any amount is welcome and helps to grow the Alishba Irshad Kassim Scholarship Endowment at UCA, ensuring that deserving students are not denied access to quality education.
